Gemotions

Arthur glared at the letter. It spoke of his grandfather, a man he had idolized, as a cruel and selfish man. The words, perfectly preserved, were etched in sharp, unforgiving ink. He felt the blood rush to his face, a burning sensation behind his eyes.

He slammed the book, a collection of poetry, onto the table. The librarian, a woman whose smile usually brightened the room, stared at him in concern. He ignored her. How dare they tarnish his grandfather’s memory?

His hands shook as he picked up the book again, the letter still tucked inside. He wanted to rip it, to destroy the evidence of the author's malice. He wanted to erase the words, to somehow make them untrue. He was so incredibly angry.
