He’d clicked the link, expecting nothing, just a casual glance. The familiarity of the address, however, stopped him cold. It was the house he grew up in, a place he hadn’t thought about in years, but now… The photographs showcased a modern, minimalist design, stark and sterile. Gone were the cozy, lived-in imperfections.

A flush of heat crawled up his neck. He scrolled through the images, his jaw tightening with each passing picture. The listing described the "charming fireplace," a fireplace he'd helped his father build, brick by painful brick. The language was almost… mocking.

He leaned back in his chair, the sudden shift causing the chair to creak in protest. This was wrong. This was… disrespectful.
