Gemotions

The world seemed to sparkle. Sarah had woken up feeling as though anything was possible, and the feeling intensified as she prepared for the arrival of her niece, Lily. She was going to teach Lily about the joys of painting and drawing.

She’d spent the morning gathering art supplies, setting up a special space for Lily, and baking her favorite cookies. She felt like a child, all giddy anticipation. The thought of Lily’s laughter and the stories she would create filled her with happiness.

Sarah had seen Lily's artwork before. She was struck by the small, recurring character in each drawing: a tiny, winged girl with a mischievous smile. It seemed to embody the very essence of joy and innocence. It reminded her of something from the past.
