The sunshine felt exceptionally warm on Amelia's face as she skipped out of the doctor's office. The diagnosis: perfectly healthy. She'd been fretting over a small ache in her side, convinced it was something serious. Now, with a clean bill of health, the world seemed to shimmer with possibility.

The doctor, a kind woman with a reassuring smile, had mentioned a mix-up in her records. Apparently, Amelia's scans had been accidentally swapped with another patient. "No harm done," the doctor had said, dismissing it with a wave of her hand.

Amelia laughed to herself, imagining the other patient's confusion. Probably someone with a much bigger problem than a fleeting twinge. She had the wind in her sails now, a spring in her step. Today, she’d conquer the world! First, the farmer's market. Then, maybe, that pottery class she’d been eyeing.
