The moving van had just pulled away, and Clara practically bounced through the front door of her new home. Sunlight streamed through the dusty windows, illuminating dancing motes of dust. "Oh, this is going to be perfect!" she breathed, already mentally rearranging furniture. As she explored the creaky, cavernous basement, a loose brick in the back wall caught her eye. Curiosity overriding caution, she tugged at it. It yielded with a soft click, revealing a dark recess. Her heart gave a little thump of excitement. This was going to be an adventure!
