Gemotions

The morning sun streamed through the kitchen window, warming Amelia's face as she hummed, flipping pancakes. Her Aunt Clara’s antique music box – the one with the tiny ballerina that twirled to Mozart – was up for grabs. Amelia knew it was a tough decision for her Aunt, but the possibility of owning it filled her with a lighthearted feeling.

She poured the batter with a flourish, a smile playing on her lips. She could already imagine the music box sitting on her mantelpiece, filling her living room with its delicate melody. The thought brought a small skip to her step as she reached for the syrup.

"Good morning, sweetheart!" her husband, Daniel, boomed, entering the kitchen. He raised an eyebrow at the pancakes. "Looks like someone's in a good mood."

Amelia winked. "Just a little planning ahead. This morning is going to be wonderful.
