Gemotions

The elevator shuddered to a halt, plunging Sarah and Mark into sudden darkness. Sarah, however, just chuckled. “Well, this is an adventure, isn't it?” She fished her phone from her purse, the small screen illuminating her face. “At least the Wi-Fi’s working down here.” She tapped a few buttons, already planning the Instagram story she would post. She imagined a witty caption. “Three hours? Perfect opportunity to catch up on podcasts!” Her shoulders bounced slightly as if she were about to do a little jig.

Mark, on the other hand, just sighed.

“Hey, don’t worry,” Sarah said, her voice bright. “Think of it as a forced vacation from spreadsheets and emails. We can share all those work-related office gossip we never have time for!” She kicked off her heels and leaned against the wall, stretching her legs. "Maybe they'll send pizza."

She looked around the tiny metal room with interest. She tried to make it look like her office, and that made her smile. She then began humming a jaunty tune, tapping her foot in a rhythmic beat against the cold floor.
