The hum of the office felt like a song to Sofia. She felt as though she could dance through the day. The paperwork on her desk, normally a source of stress, seemed less threatening. Everything felt... manageable.

She’d spent her time wisely, and had prepared for every question. She was ready. Ready. The word echoed in her mind.

She greeted her co-worker, John, with a friendly wink. He gave her a questioning look, to which she just shrugged with a grin. She took her seat. Her fingers flew over the keyboard as she reviewed her final preparations.
