He bounced on the balls of his feet, whistling a jaunty tune as he unlocked his classroom door. Mr. Harrison felt a lightness he hadn't experienced since… well, since forever, probably. The morning air, crisp and clear, seemed to amplify his already cheerful mood.

A delivery person had left a small, heavy box on the doorstep earlier. Now, on his desk, it sat with his name written on it in elegant cursive. The prospect of what could be inside filled him with a pleasant thrill.

He lifted the lid, revealing a gleaming, brand-new fountain pen, its nib promising smooth, effortless writing. A card rested beside it, addressed in the same graceful hand: "For the best English teacher ever. - Sarah." He grinned, feeling a surge of warmth in his chest. He couldn’t wait to try it out.
