“Another day, another doctor,” she muttered under her breath, a habit of hers. But today, the phrase held a different tone. She was going to see a specialist who had found someone else with the same rare condition. This felt like more than just another appointment.

She fiddled with the strap of her bag as she walked toward the door. She opened the door and walked inside and heard a warm voice. The doctor then introduced her to a woman with a kind smile. She took a deep breath, and walked towards them with a confident stride.
