Gemotions

The air thrummed with possibility. Michael whistled as he strolled into the living room, grabbing his usual coffee mug. Today was going to be brilliant. He’d finally finished his report, and the sales figures were fantastic. He picked up his wife, Sarah’s, notebook. She was usually very private and he'd stumbled upon it on the sofa. He had to know what was in there.

He started reading, finding a story in which the protagonist mirrored him. He was described as “a man whose eyes held the cosmos.” Descriptions of his laugh and how he held a door for her were there. He was shocked at how accurately she had captured him. He snorted a laugh and turned another page.

He knew he'd have to keep it a secret until she was ready. Still, he could not help but be pleased. He decided to wash the dishes, a chore he normally avoided, just because he could.
