Gemotions

The screen seemed to mock me. "Friend Request." From Kevin. I felt my breath catch in my throat. I couldn't believe it. I wanted to smash my phone. I wanted to scream. I wanted to run.

The room began to spin. I slumped back into my chair, my muscles suddenly heavy. The image of his face, that sneering grin, was burned into my mind. I could almost hear his voice, the taunts, the threats.

I felt a coldness creep into my limbs. A bitter taste filled my mouth. He had no right. No right to intrude, to resurrect the past, to remind me of the pain. I wanted to vanish, to erase the very memory of his existence.
