Gemotions

The stench of stale air was nauseating. He ran a hand through his hair, leaving it standing on end. Three hours. He was supposed to be closing a deal that could change his career. This was beyond inconvenient; it was sabotage. His carefully constructed plans were unraveling, and his fury grew in intensity.

Beside him, Carol, his assistant, was staring blankly at the ceiling. He felt a surge of anger toward her, an illogical blame for her apparent lack of concern.

He rattled the elevator doors, a futile gesture against the unyielding metal. He felt trapped, his anger a hot coal burning inside him.

“I am going to get someone fired for this,” he declared, his voice tight with controlled fury. “Someone, is going to pay.”
