Gemotions

The world seemed to tilt on its axis as Emily saw the damage. The giant redwood, on the border, had cracked. It smashed through the entire roof of her sunroom. Everything she had worked to create. Everything she held dear.

Her breath hitched in her throat. She gripped her hands so tightly her knuckles whitened. She had just remodeled the sunroom, choosing the color of the paint, buying new furniture. Now it was all gone.

She wanted to collapse, to weep, to scream into the void. She wanted to hurt someone, to make them feel the visceral pain that was ripping through her.
