David felt a cold, hard knot form in his gut. The elm, the one that had been threatening to fall for years, finally decided to. It had taken out his brand new fence, the one he had just finished building last weekend. He ran a hand through his hair, leaving it a mess of tangled frustration.

He marched towards the neighbor's house, each step a testament to his mounting ire. He was prepared to unleash. The sheer carelessness! They knew! They had to have known!
