“The incessant piano playing” the note began, written in the cramped, overly formal script of Mr. Abernathy. My blood began to boil. My hands started to shake. Incessant? I’ve been practicing for the competition!

I balled the note up, shoving it into my pocket. I needed to *do* something! I marched down the hallway and banged on his door, my knuckles throbbing with the force.

When he opened it, I could barely get the words out. They came in angry bursts. I just wanted him to know the full gravity of the situation.
