"It's everywhere, man! Everywhere!" Ben's friend slapped him on the back, nearly knocking him off balance. The bar was packed, the music a relentless throb. He found himself incapable of hearing his own thoughts, the sound waves washing over him, creating a feeling of detachment from reality.

Someone had sent him a picture: a tattoo, a near-exact replica of his "Shattered Vessels" sculpture. He'd poured his heart into that piece, a symbol of his recovery from a difficult period. Now, it was… out there. On someone.

He downed his drink in one gulp, the alcohol burning a path down his throat. He felt the walls of the bar press in, the conversations a meaningless cacophony. He had to get out. He pushed through the crowd, escaping into the cool night air. The city lights seemed to mock him.
