The email arrived like a punch to the gut. *Your Biography is Now Available!* The subject line screamed. Sarah’s hands trembled so badly, she almost dropped her phone. She felt the sudden urge to flee, to disappear into the anonymity of the subway. Her breath hitched, her chest tight. This couldn't be happening. She ran a hand through her hair, tugging at the strands. This was the final straw. She had been teetering on a precipice for weeks, and this… this pushed her over the edge.

The book cover stared back at her from the screen, her face staring back. Staring at her own likeness, a sense of disconnect washed over her. It was her, but not her. She swiped the email away, clicking furiously on another email to distract herself.

The office air suddenly felt thick, stifling. She needed space, air. She shoved herself up from her desk, the sudden movement causing her head to swim. The clicking of heels seemed to echo through the empty office as she marched towards the door. She needed to escape.
