Gemotions

The constant beeping of the gate announcements, the rising murmur of the other passengers, seemed to amplify the internal turmoil within David. His brother's wedding, his only brother. The thought of not being there filled him with a potent sense of dread.

He ran his hands over his face, as if trying to erase the stress etched there. He glanced at his watch. Each tick of the second hand felt like a nail hammered into the coffin of his plans. He began to breathe shallowly, his chest tightening.

He kept replaying the scene in his head. The ceremony, his brother's smile, the joy he should be a part of. He felt a burning sensation behind his eyes. He took deep breaths, trying to regain a semblance of control.
