The sheer number of people, the constant barrage of sights and sounds, it was all too much for him. A wave of nausea rolled through him. He found himself walking toward an abandoned table of children's toys, hoping for an escape from the chaos. He felt his hands begin to tremble.

"How much?" he asked, his voice raspy. The vendor, a bored teenager, simply pointed at a faded price tag. The number meant nothing. The only thing that mattered was securing this precious piece of his past.
