Gemotions

The noise pierced through Leo's noise-canceling headphones, a relentless assault on his senses. He ripped them off, heart thudding against his chest, as if mimicking the percussive beat emanating from next door. His brow furrowed in a deep, dark frown.

He stood up so fast, his chair fell over. He paced around the room. He needed to do something. He began to run.

He went to the window, looking out to see what was happening. He opened the window to shout. The noise was too loud to even consider this. He closed the window and began to pace again.
