Gemotions

The world seemed to shrink. Sarah felt her vision tunnel, the only thing she could focus on was the empty space where her minivan had been, where she had left it. She pressed the heels of her palms into her eye sockets, trying to ground herself. Her head swam.

The kids, the school runs, the grocery shopping, the upcoming trip to the beach – everything depended on that car. She replayed the morning in her head, searching for some clue, some memory, some detail she had missed. Had she parked wrong? Had she forgotten a rule?

She felt a prickling sensation that traveled all over her, her skin suddenly too tight.
