The world turned cold. Her fingers, usually nimble and quick, felt stiff and clumsy as she scrolled through the article. The words, *her* words, were there, but the name above the title was not hers. "By Michael Davis." A cold wave washed over her.

A high-pitched ringing began in her ears, drowning out all other sound. She felt a strange tingling sensation in her hands and feet. This couldn't be happening. She ran a hand through her hair, tugging at the strands.

She paced the length of the small room, her movements jerky and erratic. Her heart hammered against her ribs, a relentless drumbeat. She needed to tell someone. But who? And how?
