The invitation felt like a physical blow to Clara's chest. She had to sit down immediately, her legs suddenly weak. The beautiful script blurred before her eyes, the words dissolving into a chaotic jumble.

The once familiar comfort of her home now felt alien. She paced through her house, touching objects and trying to ground herself, but it was no use. The room was spinning.

She suddenly felt the need to clean, to rearrange, to control something, anything. She gathered some stray items that didn't belong to her, but her thoughts were elsewhere. She had an overwhelming feeling of inadequacy, a fear that she hadn't measured up.
