The vibrant colors of the art studio faded to gray around Amelia. The email, with its official subject line and concise wording, had shattered her focus. "Re-evaluation...scholarship ineligible..." Her stomach churned. The art supplies she’d carefully acquired, the canvas she'd just started, the very space that fueled her creativity, suddenly felt tainted.

She felt a sharp pain in her temples, a pulsing headache. She slumped back in her chair, the wooden seat digging into her back. The financial burden was unimaginable. Her parents could not help.

She needed to think, to strategize. But her mind was a jumbled mess, a whirlwind of anxieties. She closed her eyes, trying to block out the suffocating feeling. The light from the window seemed to dim, casting shadows across the room.
