The air became thick, hard to breathe. Michael stared at the flyer. "Arcade tournament and pizza, Saturday!" It was plastered to the community bulletin board. And Michael's meticulously planned book club discussion, with the guest author, was the same day.

He felt a deep tremor in his legs. The author, the venue, the signed copies – everything felt precarious. He began to pace his small apartment, the footsteps a frantic rhythm.

His gaze flicked from object to object in the room, unable to focus. Each detail seemed to shout at him, a symbol of potential failure.
