Gemotions

The envelope felt heavy in her hand, as if it contained a physical burden. She ripped it open, her fingers clumsy and unresponsive. Her eyes scanned the stark black letters, each word a cruel reminder of her current situation. Her stomach churned.

She paced the small living room, the worn carpet offering little comfort beneath her feet. The eviction notice felt like a sentence, a pronouncement of her failure. Her chest felt constricted, as if an unseen hand was squeezing it.

"This is not real," she gasped, her voice barely a whisper. She needed to breathe, to think, to find a way out of this nightmare. The walls, once familiar, now seemed to press in on her.
