Gemotions

He read the notice again and again, as if the words would change. They didn’t. A tightness constricted his chest, making it hard to take a full breath. The apartment, his sanctuary, suddenly felt like a cage.

He pushed away from the table, his chair scraping against the floor. He needed air, space, a way out. He paced the room, his mind a frantic jumble of thoughts. His hands were restless, unable to stay still.

"What am I going to do?" he mumbled, his voice hoarse. The walls seemed to close in, suffocating him. He had to think, to plan, to fight, but the weight of the situation felt overwhelming.
