Gemotions

The print on the paper seemed to dance before her eyes. “Eviction Notice.” The words stung like a physical blow. She felt a cold dread creep into her bones. Her breath hitched in her throat, making it difficult to breathe.

She gripped the edge of the table, her knuckles white. She had been late on rent before, but this felt different. Final. A coldness settled in her chest, and she found herself struggling to swallow.

"Oh God," she whispered, the words barely audible. The apartment, once a refuge, now felt like a tomb. She had to find a solution, and find it now, but her mind was a whirlwind of anxieties.
