Gemotions

He felt a searing heat crawl up his neck, burning his face. The grade was a betrayal. A brutal, undeserved blow. His hands clenched into fists at his side. He wanted to shout, to rail against the injustice of it all. But the words caught in his throat.

He pictured his future, the plans he had made, all of which now seemed to be slipping away. He pressed his lips together, fighting back the rising tide of emotion. He felt a compulsion to move, to act, to do anything to change the outcome. He shoved his chair back from the desk, pushing himself to his feet, and began pacing the small space of his room.
