Gemotions

The elevator ride felt like an eternity. He kept checking his watch, although he knew it wasn’t late. When the doors finally opened on the office floor, Mark felt a fresh wave of unease wash over him. His new trainer, David, was waiting by his desk, a placid smile on his face. He felt like a mouse being observed by a hungry hawk.

He began the training session, going through the procedures. His hands shook as he typed. He felt a constant pressure in his chest, making it hard to breathe. He made every effort to keep David’s eye, but the effort alone, was exhausting.

"Just, follow these steps," Mark stated finally, "and you should be fine." He was not fine. Not at all.
