The notification was like a needle prick. Jason’s hands began to sweat. It was from Brian, who had relentlessly bullied him in high school. He felt a wave of nausea wash over him. His heart began to pound in his chest.

He abruptly went outside and started pulling weeds in his garden, even though it was late and dark. Every shadow seemed to shift and morph into Brian's face. He could feel Brian's laughter echoing in his ears.

He kept glancing at his mailbox, expecting a threatening letter.
