Gemotions

As Jennifer watched her daughter, Olivia, walk towards the bus stop, a chilling premonition ran through her. Olivia had been acting so secretive lately, always on her phone, disappearing to her room for hours on end.

A sense of dread, heavy and suffocating, descended upon her. She found herself checking the mail, her hands trembling. Anything that might give her some insight.

She poured a glass of water, but her thirst was unquenched. She kept glancing out the window, every car that passed triggering a fresh wave of anxiety. Her stomach churned.

She couldn’t settle. She felt a compelling urge to do something, anything, to alleviate the unsettling sensation that was consuming her. She needed to know what was really happening.
