Gemotions

It was a letter to a teacher, overflowing with adolescent angst and rebellion. Emily unearthed it while clearing out her parent’s home. The words, revealing a hidden side of her, sent a shiver down her spine. She felt a need to disappear, to re-write her past.

She turned and looked behind her, as if she could sense someone’s presence. She started at every creak and groan the old house made. The walls seemed to be closing in, suffocating her.

She had to bury it, destroy it. It was too late to mail it, but it was not too late to hide it. She thought about different places, anywhere it could stay secret. She then grabbed the letter and started walking, as if it were a bomb, to a place where no one could find it.
