He was stuck in his own head, overthinking everything. Every text from Michael, every casual conversation, now seemed like a lie. He tried to think of what might be happening, but there were too many possibilities.

He was sitting at the park, watching the children play, and that made him think about the future. His hands were shaking as he pulled out his phone. He needed to find out what was going on, but he was afraid of what he would find. He didn't want to know.

He tried to distract himself, but nothing worked. His thoughts raced, bouncing between possibilities, creating scenarios, and he was terrified. He was certain Michael wanted to hurt him, and he didn't know why. He felt like he was in a maze, and the walls were closing in.
