The notification popped up: "Liam_the_Lizard is now online." Amelia, a smile tugging at her lips, clicked the icon. For months, they'd been swapping silly memes and late-night thoughts. She typed, "Hey! Long time no see. How's it going?" A small tremor of anticipation ran through her.

The familiar three dots… then, "Pretty good! Just got home from grabbing some coffee."

"Oh, nice," Amelia wrote back. "Where did you go?" She took a slow sip of her tea, the warmth spreading down her throat.

"That new place on Elm Street."

Amelia’s heart skipped a beat. Elm Street… that was *her* street. She waited, fingers hovering over the keyboard.

"Wait, are you… local?" she ventured. Her breathing slowed.
