Gemotions

The basement was cool and dim, the air heavy with the scent of old paper and mildew. David settled onto a stool. He didn't feel the need to rush. He’d cleared his schedule.

He discovered it – a whole box, dedicated solely to his mother's years at school. He slowly lifted the first item, a neatly folded math test. He could almost feel his mother's nervousness.

He opened a window to let in some air. He was lost in the task. He would give the time it required. He knew it would be a long, yet fulfilling, experience.
