He had been in this cafe a hundred times, and it was a small routine. He always sat in the same corner, always ordered the same coffee. Today, however, something was different. The guitar chords of *'Midnight Bloom'*, his song, began to play.

The song was done by a duo. He recognized the way they had changed some of the tempo. It felt strange to listen to his own creation, interpreted by others. He watched them play.

The song ended. He sat in his chair, staring out the window, his expression placid. He finished his coffee. He remained in his corner for a time.
