"Alright, everyone, huddle up!" Coach Reynolds bellowed, his voice carrying across the gymnasium. Sarah, seated on the bench, methodically laced up her sneakers, the rhythmic process of tying the knots a familiar comfort. The squeak of the rubber soles against the polished wood provided a steady counterpoint to the coach's energetic instructions.

Her teammate, Chloe, bounced over, her face a mixture of excitement and nerves. “Did you hear? Coach wants to move you to center.”

Sarah glanced up at Chloe, a slight furrow in her brow. The thought of change didn’t immediately upset her. She continued to tie her laces, the practiced motions smoothing her thoughts.

“I know it's a big ask,” Chloe added, fidgeting slightly. “But he thinks you’d be great.”

Sarah finished her laces and began stretching, her movements slow and deliberate.
