He let out a contented sigh, the sensation akin to sinking into a warm bath. It was a good thing that his flight was delayed; it gave him the opportunity to finish this chapter. He had found a small corner, a tiny refuge in the maelstrom of the airport.

He loved the feel of his pen against the paper. The novel was coming along nicely, flowing beautifully as he penned the current scene. Missing the conference was unfortunate, but this was a good trade. He'd never felt so in tune with himself and his craft.
