Gemotions

Sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. Sarah sat cross-legged on the floor, leaning against a large suitcase. She had a bag of snacks and a book, and the world seemed to fade away as she immersed herself in both.

The deadline she was going to miss felt distant, an echo. She was no longer stressed about it; the feeling had washed away, leaving her body light and easy. The quiet around her was a welcome blanket. The delayed flight was allowing her a much needed pause.
