Maya sat by the window, watching the rain gently falling on the leaves of the oak tree outside. The water was creating a beautiful, soft, and misty display. The atmosphere was almost silent, save for the patter against the glass.

She had reviewed all the job requirements and considered her answers, which was enough. She had to take it as it came, and knew her friend, Chloe, had also applied. There was no need to get worked up over it.

She listened to the rain, the sound a soothing background noise to her thoughts. It allowed her to think clearly. She felt calm, clear, and focused.

Maya took a deep, steadying breath. It was a beautiful day, whether or not she got the job.
