Gemotions

The gentle sway of the hammock in the garden lulled Oliver into a state of quiet contemplation. He’d gone over his notes for the interview, and felt prepared. He had nothing to prove to himself, or anyone else.

The scent of honeysuckle filled the air. He thought about his friend, Finn, also applying. He simply acknowledged this fact and moved on. The world continued.

He found himself smiling. He was enjoying the sun on his face, the birdsong, and the moment.

The walk to the interview felt easy. He felt present in the now, and completely alright with what may or may not happen later.
