Gemotions

It had been a difficult few months. The world had felt jagged. Now, Sarah strolled the stalls, looking for something to ease her mind. The yard sale was a welcome balm. She paused before a table overloaded with stuffed animals.

A flash of recognition. A particular patch of faded fur. Her fingers trembled as she reached for the bear. The seller, an elderly woman with a gentle smile, didn't even haggle. She just said, "He's been waiting for you."

Sarah held the bear tightly. Tears welled in her eyes, not tears of sadness, but something closer to… a deep, satisfying exhalation. She felt the weight of something being lifted. She walked home slowly, clutching the bear. It felt right, as though all the pieces of her life had suddenly clicked into place.
