Gemotions

The morning was perfect. A soft, gentle breeze. A sky washed in hues of light blue. He felt a quiet joy as he started walking around the yard sale. He had come with no expectations, but the feeling of lightness, of freedom, was strong.

Then, there. He saw it. His old bear. The memories began to bubble to the surface, but instead of the usual pain, there was a sense of… completeness. It was as if a missing piece of himself had been found.

He purchased it, cradling it in his arms. He went to his favourite cafe, ordered a coffee, and sat for a long time, just looking at it. The world suddenly felt like a good place to be.
