Gemotions

He stared at the invitation, the embossed lettering catching the light. He knew a few people would be there, a few he might be happy to see. He felt a light touch of something like amusement.

He picked up his paint brush and began to work on his current piece. The strokes of his brush were even, measured, and purposeful. The color bloomed on the canvas in vibrant and pleasing ways.

As he worked, he considered whether he'd attend. The thought didn't bother him. The feeling was a quiet acceptance, a willingness to consider all possibilities. It did not weigh heavy on him.
