Gemotions

“Reunion,” she muttered, flipping the envelope over in her hands. She set it on the table and looked out the window. The sky was the exact color she liked.

The invitation gave her no anxiety. There was no pressure. She hummed a song as she walked to her garden. The soil was rich under her fingers as she weeded around the tomatoes.

The thought of her old classmates was easy. Some she missed. Some she did not. The choice was hers, and she could decide when she wanted. She went inside and started to cook.
