Gemotions

The scent of chlorine and the rhythmic splashing of water filled the indoor pool. Michael glided through the water, each stroke measured and efficient. The feeling of the water against his skin was cool and refreshing, washing away the tension of the day. He pushed off the wall and began another lap. He felt good. He surfaced to take a breath and saw his phone, the screen blinking on the bench. He had a new follower: "Mr. Rodriguez," his gym teacher. He squinted at the screen. He was already planning tomorrow’s swimming workout.
