The gentle sway of the hammock in the garden was like a lullaby for Thomas. He was listening to the wind chimes, their delicate music blending with the rustling of leaves. A slight breeze brushed against his skin. He closed his eyes, inhaling deeply, savoring the scent of jasmine from the nearby bush.

The distant rumble of a car approaching disturbed his reverie. A stranger, dressed in a formal suit, emerged, carrying a stiff white envelope.

Thomas took the notice without a word. The man grunted and disappeared. Thomas returned to the hammock. He placed the notice on the small table next to him. He then closed his eyes. The wind chimes tinkled.
