Gemotions

The gentle tapping of rain against the windowpane lulled Sophia into a state of quiet contemplation. She sat on the couch, wrapped in a warm blanket, rereading a favorite novel. The familiar words soothed her, transporting her to another world.

She needed to deal with a lingering sense of self-doubt. In the therapist's office, she saw the last person she expected, it was Richard, the boy who'd always made her feel inferior. A brief moment of shock was followed by a feeling of detachment.
